I'm looking for a map of a specific location, but I can't find one. Can you help me find one?

Yes! While our collection contains thousands of old maps, there are tens of thousands of old maps out there that we still need to restore and add to our collection. If there is a specific area in which you are interested, but can't find on our website currently, click here to complete our Map Request Form.

Once we receive your request we will then locate the perfect map for you, digitally restore it at no cost, and send you a link to it so you can see it and purchase it.

What is your return policy?

If you would like to return your print for any reason at all, within 30 days of the date of purchase you may do so for a full refund - no questions asked.

Simply send us an email to let us know you will be returning your item, then ship the print back to us. Once received will process a full, 100% refund.

How are the prints shipped?

All prints are shipped from one of our US based facilities either in Pennsylvania or Utah.

Unframed prints come rolled up in a sturdy cardboard tube. Framed prints and canvas prints come shipped in a padded cardboard box that includes bubble wrap and additional padding.

Products are shipped via FedEx, UPS and USPS. The method is determined based on how we can get your print to you the fastest.

If there is a specific shipping carrier you prefer us to use, please email us after purchasing (ASAP) and let us know. We will make sure it ships via your preferred method.

How long does it take for shipping?

It typically takes approximately 6 - 8 days after purchasing for your print to arrive. Please note, around the holidays this timeframe can take considerably longer due to delays & congestion with the shipping carriers.

You will receive a shipping tracking number and link via e-mail once your package ships. You can visit the tracking link to keep an eye on progress and get a better estimation of exactly when your print will arrive.

What are my frame options?

We have 15 different frame options that are available when you purchase a framed print. There are 5 different frame colors, and each color has a few different frame style options available.

Below are descriptions of each frame style, along with a list of the available colors for each style. You can also view an image that includes a preview of all 15 available frame combinations.

Standard Frames

Our standard frames are handcrafted from solid wood and are approximately 1.25" wide and 0.625" deep with a glass protective front cover.

The colors available in the Standard frame style are black, white and natural.

Beveled Frames

Our beveled frames are constructed from solid wood by hand. They measure approximately 1.25" wide and 0.625" deep and include a glass front cover.

The colors available with the standard frames are Black, Natural, Walnut & Espresso.

Wide Frames

Our wide frames are hand crafted from 100% solid wood. The dimensions of these wide frames are approximately 1.75" wide and 0.875" deep. All frames include an elegant glass front cover.

The wide frames are available in the colors of Black, Natural, Walnut & Espresso.

Thin Frames

Our thin frames are constructed from solid wood by hand. The dimensions of these wide frames are approximately 0.625" wide and 1.25" deep. The inlaid glass provides an elegant finish while adding an extra layer of protection for your art.

The thin frames are available in the colors of Black, White, Natural & Espresso.

What material is the frame constructed from?

All frames are made with solid wood and real glass. Each frame is made by hand in the USA with care and attention to every last detail.

Each framed print already includes the necessary hardware for hanging on the wall. All you need is 2 nails, a hammer, and an open space on the wall.

What are the sizes of the framed prints, including the frame?

The total dimensions of the print including the frame will differ slightly depending on the selected frame style. The frame widths are listed below based on the selected style:

Standard Frame: 1.25" wide - This frame will ad 2.5" total inches of width to your print. So, for example, if you purchase a print that is 24" wide, after framing it the total width would be 26.5"
Beveled Frame: 1.25" wide - This frame will ad 2.5" total inches of width to your print. So, for example, if you purchase a print that is 24" wide, after framing it the total width would be 26.5"
Wide Frame: 1.75" wide - This frame will ad 3.5" total inches of width to your print. So, for example, if you purchase a print that is 24" wide, after framing it the total width would be 27.5"
Thin Frame: 0.625" wide - This frame will ad 1.25" total inches of width to your print. So, for example, if you purchase a print that is 24" wide, after framing it the total width would be 25.125"

How do the frames hang on the wall?

Each frame comes with hanging hardware pre-installed. The specific style of hardware depends on the specific frame style selected. Either way, 2 nails will be required for hanging your print.

Your framed print will come with one of these 2 options installed.

How large can you print these maps?

We can print one of these maps at any size up to 20 feet tall! The maximum size does depend on the type of product you purchase. Below is a list of each product, along with the maximum size we are able to print:

Unframed Prints: 60 x 40 inches
Framed Prints: 36 x 24 inches
Canvas Prints: 48 x 32 inches
Peel & Stick Wall Mural: 200 x 200 inches

Can I buy a digital download file?

Yes, there are circumstances in which we allow the purchase of a high resolution digital download. The cost for the high resolution download is $50, and it requires that you do not reuse the image for commercial purposes. We will promptly review the request and be back in touch with you via e-mail.

Can I buy and ship it to someone else?

Yes, of course! During the checkout process simply enter the gift recipient's address in the "shipping address" fields. We will then ship the print directly to that address.

Do you ship internationally?

At this time our website only allows for purchases being shipped within the United States. If you are interested in having an item shipped outside the United States, please send us an e-mail and we can get you a shipping quote and manually process an order for you.

Is the watermark going to be on my print?

No, our logo watermark will NOT be included on your purchased print.

How old are these maps?

At Ted's Vintage Art, we do not sell original maps. We sell digitally restored reprints that are brand new when purchased.

Within our map collection, we do have prints available from maps that date back over 600 years.

Do you have other maps not listed on this website?

Yes, we do have a lot of maps that are not yet listed on the website. If there is a specific location you are looking for, please click the link below to submit a request via our Map Request Form.

If we do not have a map available in our own archives, we can most likely find one for you and digitally restore it at no additional cost.

What type of paper are these maps printed on?

Our unframed prints and framed prints are printed on premium, heavyweight matte paper using high quality archival inks. This museum quality paper will last a lifetime and beyond.

Are these maps original?

No, we do not sell original maps at Ted's Vintage Art. We sell reprints that have been digitally restored to look even better than most original copies that are in circulation today.

What is the printing process like?

Our teams in Pittsburgh and Salt Lake City will receive your order after payment has been successfully made. Once the order is received, they will begin preparing your order by hand using top of the line printers and museum quality paper.

Our giclee prints use archival inks, producing a quality that is second to none.

If you purchase a framed print, the printing team will also assemble the solid wood frame by hand and add real glass to complete your order.

Are there discounts for buying in bulk?

Do you offer wholesale pricing?

Can I get a map changed to black and white, sepia or any other tone?

Yes! We can easily make these adjustments for you. It's very important that you let us know right away though. Once you place your order, please contact us to let us know if you'd like it to be printed in black & white or sepia. There is no cost for this. Please note, we need to hear from you right away if you wish to change the color - otherwise the print will end up going through the regular printing process

Can I get this map printed up as a mural or wallpaper?

Yes! We can print these maps up as a large wall mural of just about any size. We can print a full map, or we can zoom in on a specific area of interest and print only that portion.
