With a population of around 50 million, Colombia is the third most populated country in South America, following Brazil and Mexico. Currently, the population growth within Colombia seems to be very slow. It is estimated that by 2050, the population will reach 55.3 million. There is a very high rate of both emigration and internal immigration within Colombia. More than likely, migrants leave in search of better wages, as well as better living conditions.
